About me:
I don't remember a time when art was not a part of my life. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri where my mother, an art teacher, encouraged creative play and activities at home and in the community. That spirit of living a creative life is ingrained in my being. My father introduced me to the beauty and mystery of nature. His love of road trips and our family cabin in the Adirondacks of New York created experiences that inspired my search for peace, wisdom, adventure and place in nature. It was the love of the lush and wild Adirondacks that lured me to move from Missouri and settle in New York. I attended Skidmore College where I concentrated in printmaking before continuing my art education at University at Buffalo (UB) where I received an MFA. My husband and I have raised two children together and have lived happily in the Saratoga Springs, NY area since 1990 where I have been involved in many creative endeavors at home and in the community. My artwork explores, enhances and abstracts my experiences and provides a means of sharing them with you. |
